Our story
A Home Built on Mountains, Family & Tradition
The story of The Homgarang Abode begins with our family’s journey through the mountains of Kinnaur.
The name “Homgarang” carries a simple meaning — “home of the bear.” Our grandfather moved from Kalpa to the area of present-day Homgarang, carrying with him the traditions, values and way of life that have shaped our family ever since.
Located in Shudarang, near the DFO residence, our home has grown into a place where guests can experience the quieter side of Kinnaur — surrounded by mountains, fresh air and the warmth of a family home.
